You'll need to provide more info if you want a quick answer..

Done any serviceing recently?

Has it done anything like this before?

Has it got fuel?

What happened when you tryed to restart? what noise did it make if any?

Has it been layed up for any ammount of time?

the plug could be dirty
get it out and wipe the electrode(the bit that goes in the engine, not the bit you attach the wire to)
a use a kitchen scourer, not the metal things, the slightly rough stuff on the back of the washing up sponge

Well, check the plug and see if thats the prob.

What plug are you using? You should be using either a standard one; BR9ECS or the more expensive better one; BR9EIX. Both are NGK.

Happened to me twice... Once the spark plug had gone, the other time I had the fuel tap switched to off.

My bike's weird like that. Sometimes I disable the alarm, turn on the ignition and it'll turn over, just wont fire. I then have to turn the ignition off and start all over again, sometimes 3 or 4 times before it will fire up.

Confused

Could be the mixture constantly fouling the plugs. Have you ever changed anything to do with the air filter or exhaust? If the bikes input/output has been changed without 'retuning' then it could foul plugs very fast indeed

same just happened to my NSR, the plugs get dirty from the oil, so you need to give it a clean 9Use a rag and a wire brush), pop it in let the carb fill with fuel then hit the starter.

Works everytime

Hope this helps

Sorry but how do you know if ya plugs are shot??? Mine are black after a couple of weeks!!! Is this is a gd sign??? It still runs.
My bike sometimes stops when left idle but there is a screw on the carb that ya turn and it helps!!!!!! I had to to turn clockwise last week to make it run properly only a short amount.
I wonder if you have to do the same?!

Sounds like your running too rich. If you have a service manual try and find out what the standard carburation settings are and adjust to suit.

My scooter's like that, i think it's just the immobiliser being hormonal with the chip in the key...
