Do it if you like but it's £30 plus having to change it if you're caught.
One line plates just draw more attention to you. ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |

Firstly how far do you travel? If its just local then you will probably be fine, my 400 had a small plate that was horizontal which meant if you were behind me it looked almost flat.
I also lived near a police station and was ok. I think you will be ok if you are always local and know there aren't alot of traffic police about. |

I have a teeny one, probably the same as jordans.
Never seen the point, may as well chuck it in the bin to be honest. Waste of moeny and I was a copper, I'd pull you and slap a ticket on you no bother. |

another problem with a small plate is that it'll fail the MOT now.
best stick with standard size...
luckily my bike came brand new with a small plate! have to get it changed soon though, because my first MOT is approaching.. ____________________ Now own a Fireblade!! Speed Limits? Bah! |

If you believe what MCN print then the Police are going to start issuing £60 fixed penalty and 3 points everytime you get caught.
Not worth the risk IMO
You don't see it when you ride anyway, and I ain't risking more points on my license so my mate behind me thinks it looks 'cool' ____________________ Past: Honda NSR125R >> Kawasaki ER-5a2 >> Kawasaki ZZR-600e1 >> Suzuki GSXR-750Y >> Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm

I'm going to switch my Duc back to a normal numberplate when I get a chance, never had a problem as yet, but there's always a first time. ____________________ aKa: Ducky |

ive got a 8x6 on mine as when i put the new undertray on the 9x6 "just" fitted and looked really wierd, the 8x6 fits nicely
i think 8x6 is ok but 1 liners (9x1) are just shouting "pull me" at least with a smaller 2 line one they police officer might have to look to see if its right size
I dont think its worth it but then again i use my bike a lot, if you use it now and then you could be fine  ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

I've had 8X6 plates on my previous couple of bikes and not had a problem, even had traffic police comment on my witty number plate slogans and not have any issue with the size. As long as it's clearly legible they generally aren't worried I reckon.
Those tiny one line plates though are just asking to get you pulled, and whilst at it they'll almost certainly check over your bike for tax, cans etc. Not worth it. |

A lot depends on where you ride and how often, i have a daft plate on my nsr but know where the police are likely to be and avoid those areas, and touch wood havent been pulled since i got banned in 1992.
Although to be honest i probably only do 2000 miles a year max as the bike is only a weekend toy these days. ____________________ If you dont like the way that I ride.......Stop trying to keep up!!! |

I was riding with no plate for a while where it had blew off on the way to Snetterton. A BCFer pointed it out, was Gazdaman I think! Wasnt stopped once. Probably as I was no more than a blur for the time it was off.
I think any look good. Very small looks nice and 'sleek' on newer bikes whereas the proper sized plates kinda ruin the lines often! ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |
