Consider getting a Grip Lock:
https://www.pjbsecurity.fsnet.co.uk/products/disclocks/pjb706.htm
I've got one and it works a treat, and you can't really ride away without taking it off!
It also bleeds your brake system if left on for a while, so be aware when you use your brakes after taking the lock off... ____________________ TiN

I'm always a bit worried with those locks someone will just cut the brake hose .
It doesn't actually bleed it as such, it does compress the fluid, which hels air bubbles to join/rise.
It doesn't touch the clutch... and if it did, it'd make it worse because it would be holding it in |

<addition>Oh, and fair point about cutting hose and nicking bike, but:
1.) If they're willing to nick the bike without brakes, then they've probably got a van (or suicidal) anyway, so a disc lock would be useless anyway in that situation.
2.) Unless the disc lock is very clearly visible, then there's that chance of the theives attempting to push your bike away, only to drop it once the lock hits the wheel or whatever. ____________________ TiN

A disc lock should prevent your average pikey theft though |

Too bad you were not at the BMF show today, there were some mega cheap disk locks there and they were quality Oxford ones.
I would advise using a chain anyway, then it is much more difficult for them to push it into the back of a van |
