STOP!!
I can't believe no one on here knows about this, it's a common glitch.
When you change the oil on the zZX6's you need to leave the filter just a tad loose & crank the engine until oil spurts out, then screw the filter on tight.
Altho now that you have ridden it around with no oil pressure you've probably fucked the crank/rod bearings.
This problem has been common knowledge for AT LEAST EIGHT FUCKING YEARS  |

ZRX61 is right you have to prime the system like he says. If the bike has had any load put on it whatsoever though (like riding it around camp), you're looking at bearing damage. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

It's a problem particular to the model. Oil pressure switches usually activate at around 10psi, so if he's ridden the bike with the light on it's likely there wasn't enough pressure to prevent bearing contact. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

hope you havent done too much damage
my oil light is always on lmao and my temp light. It comes on after been ridden for 10mins. They both flicker with my indicators as well lol its wierd.
But no actuall problems lol ____________________ We are the Patriots! Love your country. |
