They shouldn't need rejetting if the kit's been fitted properly, and you just need to remove the washers from the inlet rubbers. At least that's the type I've come across.
It's not a massive job. ____________________ My Flickr |

ahh yeah it turns out what ive been hearing is wrong
so basically i :-
1. take the tank off.
2. take the airbox off.
3. undo the carburettors and lift them up gently.
4. ease the 4 big washers out of the holes.
5. put carbs back
6. put airbox back
7. put tank on.
is that right??
it sounds right but i want to be 100% before trying it. |

Pretty much.
The washers aren't in the actual carbs themselves, they sit between the carbs and the engine in the rubbers.
The washers will be a very tight fit in the inlet rubbers. ____________________ My Flickr |

Agreed, those carb rubbers can be an absolute arse. I had loads of difficulty with my CBR, which has the same engine as yours.
You can try a little lubrication with some WD40, it seems to make things a bit easier.

In case you have a restricted CDI.
There are different methods to restrict, some are just washers, and some are by the CDI, some are a combination of the two.
Depends on the method used on yours. ____________________ My Flickr |
