the only thread is on the crank axel. none on the fly wheel its self!

the first one looks the right one but how does it work because its pushing against the fly wheel. or does it push the crank out?

On some of those pictures there is a big metal plate supplied with the puller. You need to bolt the plate onto the flywheel, then the puller attaches to the plate. i.e. the puller on it's own (first link) isn't enough.

Looks like you would get away with using a general purpose puller (see other thread!)

Bit of a bodge way of doing it, but put a nut onto the crank (so it protects the thread) then whack it with a hammer/brick/heavy object.

May require WD40 and a crowbar.

Try not to damage anything.

i did this recently on a little 33cc engine, talked about it here
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=138723 (already linked by big-ham)

I did it by holding the engine in the air by the flywheel (easy on an eninge that small ) and hitting the shaft with a hammer, after soaking in in WD40. Just let the engine drop onto something soft. You can see the tapered shaft/key in the last pic on my thread.

If your in lufbra can you not just ask Twiggers or John Monk if you can quickly borrow their tools? I'm sure that Mark at Twiggers might be able to lend you the tool (that is if you tell them before hand and bring the lump and say do it at their drive at the back?)Twiggers are very helpful.

Get someone to give you and the engine a lift to the local bikeshop and ask one of the mechanics if you can bring the engine in and use the tool or have one of them do it.

A thanks and a pack of biscuits goes a long way too Thumbs Up

Also as you see there are the other methods of doing it but can you afford to replace a crank? Wouldnt risk it Wink
