I would imagine it's held on with a woodruffe key. if it is, you'll need a puller but if it's the one I think, they're fairly cheap Do you have any pics? |

Yup, looks like you need one of these:-
https://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j71/Drewskovitch/P1010566.jpg
You screw the fatter part into the flywheel, then tighten the thinner "bolt" up and give it a good solid "Thwack" with a lump hammer. Don't make the same mistake I've seen made loads of times where people think they can loosen the flywheel by just tightening up the puller. Whereabouts are you? You're profile doesn't say Those pullers aren't too expensive but if you're local I can lend you mine. |

Not quite local enough If it's the same size as this one, and you look around, you should be able to pick one up fairly cheap - about a fiver I should think. A decent bike shop should knock it off for you for a packet of fags |

i did this recently on a little 33cc engine, talked about it here
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=138723 (already linked by big-ham)
I did it by holding the engine in the air by the flywheel (easy on an eninge that small ) and hitting the shaft with a hammer, after soaking in in WD40. Just let the engine drop onto something soft. You can see the tapered shaft/key in the last pic on my thread.

Get someone to give you and the engine a lift to the local bikeshop and ask one of the mechanics if you can bring the engine in and use the tool or have one of them do it.
A thanks and a pack of biscuits goes a long way too
Also as you see there are the other methods of doing it but can you afford to replace a crank? Wouldnt risk it ____________________ www.oldskoolsuzuki.info |
