Did the same for a ped I had, depends on the vibrations in the road and how big any cracks/gaps are.
Sometimes mine lasted a day, sometimes a week.
You'll soon get bored of re-applying all the time.
However, I didn't see the condition it was in before, so may last last longer.
But to be fair, I used this stuff to partiality attach my exhaust to the manifold just to one broken stud and the other in half ____________________ Malaguti F12 Phantom-Dead, Suzuki AY50- Dead, NRG power DD LQ, CBR125.

Even if i apply a layer each day for a week? 7 layers should do the job |
I doubt it, it will most likely just fracture between the layers.
If it were me and I wanted to bodge I'd wrap the pipe in baked bean tins, jubilee clip them on and then wrap then in exhaust bandage, on top of the gungum. That ought to hold you for a while.
Although I can't see why you wouldn't just get it welded... ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350

Downpipes can be removed because the exhaust studs will snap off |

best to grind all the rust off first or it will continue to rust and that will break the gun gum also try heating it first before running the engine may give it a chance to harden properly.
But yer ive only used it on the cars years ago with limited success to be honest all these quick fixes for petrol tanks and radiators etc never last.. ____________________ Fuelly My Z1000SX
